Growth of fibroids leads to heavy menstrual bleeding, as the result of heavy bleeding Anaemia is the most common complication arising from it. The person feels pale, fatigue and tired because of aneamia.
The size of fibroid varies, fibroids that are large in size and can be few inches big in the uterus affects urination as the bulge is against the bladder causing discomfort, uneasiness and feeling of fullness.
Presence of the benign tumor in the uterus hinders the placement of eggs. There is high possibility of the egg to get dislocated as a result. This makes successful implantation difficult and leads to infertility.
Fibroids and pregnancy gets interconnected if there is a growth during pregnancy, at times placenta is pushed because of fibroid development reducing flow of blood. At times the fibroids grow along with the developing baby almost like competing for space. Growing in size within in the uterus results in premature delivery or miscarriage.
